How does the weather forecast work?

Set a location for your race and the app pulls a 5-day forecast plus current conditions for that venue. The forecast needs an internet connection. The app sends only the venue's latitude and longitude to get the data, nothing about you. Weather data comes from Open-Meteo. You can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit with a toggle in the app.

Is my data private, and where is it stored?

Your race data stays on your device. Checklists, race details, times, notes, race files, venue locations, and photos are stored locally on your phone and are never uploaded to a server. The only thing that syncs to the cloud is your account profile (name, email, photo URL, and sign-in metadata), which exists so you can sign in. The app uses no third-party analytics, no advertising, and no cross-app tracking.

How do I import a course?

Export a .gpx file from Garmin Connect, Strava, or the race organizer's site. In the app, attach the GPX file to your race. The swim, bike, and run routes draw on a map, color-coded by discipline, with elevation profiles and total gain and loss. The app does not ship pre-loaded courses, so you see exactly the route in your file.

Is there a free version?

There is no free tier. After you sign in and finish onboarding, the app needs an active subscription or the free trial to use. Everyone starts with a 7-day free trial. After that it is $3.99 per month or $19.99 per year, and both plans include the trial. Everything is included with the subscription or trial: unlimited checklists, Packing and Race Day modes, reusable templates, GPX course import, venue weather, race-day reminders, race history, and photos. Cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings, and cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find Triathlon Race Day Checklist and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of your current billing period.

Do I need an account to use the app?

You sign in with Apple or Google to set up an account. Your account exists so your profile follows you. Your race data stays on your device regardless. Reminders are scheduled as local notifications and do not require a server-side account to fire.

Does the app work offline?

Yes, for the parts that live on your device. Your checklists, race files, history, and reminders work without a connection. The weather forecast needs an internet connection, since it is fetched from a forecast provider when you open it.

How do I delete my account and data?

Go to Settings in the app and scroll to the bottom. Tap Delete Account. This removes your cloud profile and erases your locally stored data. The action cannot be undone.

How do I restore my subscription on a new device?

Open the app, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID and restores from there.

How do I request a refund?

Subscription purchases are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and follow the steps.

Which devices does the app support?

Triathlon Race Day Checklist is a native iOS app for iPhone, running on iOS 18.2 or later.

Does the app come with race courses built in?

No. You import your own GPX files, exported from Garmin Connect, Strava, or a race organizer's website. The app then shows the swim, bike, and run route color-coded on a map with elevation profiles. The app does not ship any pre-loaded courses.
